Full remodel, refurbishment and extension of a six bedroom family home in North London.

Design inspiration came from the family wanting a semi open plan layout to keep an eye on children whilst still being able to close doors for quiet family time.
Design and build of a four bedroom cotswold stone cottage in the beautiful village of Souldern in Oxfordshire.

Our brief was to create a feeling of space in what is essentially a small cottage, the solution was to focus on the proportions of each room and the overall space.

The brief was to create as much as we could with limited space, in order to maximise light flowing through to the dining room which the client wanted to remain separate we included a glass window seat which is not only practical with storage underneath but also unique and looks fantastic.

Alex and Kit were superb in helping us realise our dream home. Whilst we knew what we wanted they worked with this and added significant touches that have made a huge difference in the house. Kit and Alex are two genuinely smart individuals who care about their clients projects in a highly diligent manner. Whilst they're both highly creative, Kit takes the lead on designing and Alex project manages. They both have a strong understanding of each others roles and it's great to see them always working in harmony with one another. We asked a lot from the during our project particularly on creating the various areas we wanted in the space. They not only did this but also continually made suggestions that were far better than our own and that we were pleased to move forward with. Not your average firm.

Hestia Design took this project on from another Architect we had been using, we weren't happy with the initial design that had been submitted for the outline Planning Application. They managed to redesign both the interior and exterior and battled with the council to achieve full Planning Permission for the new design they produced for us.
